My mind is boggled, I did the pay after delivery on one PS2 Wireless controller then on another one, then I went to purchase the SAME item, same brand and everything days later and it wouldn't let me do the pay after delivery. So I am extremely confused about this whole situation.
Can I get a print out of the guidelines so I can know before I make the commitment to an item, ( I have the needed money in my account, its just sometimes I want to have the option of paying later).

I am really confused I have been using the pay after delivery option fo rmonths no problems Account linked to bank and credit cards now all of a sudden without my knowing it the option has vanished and the purchases I recently made that I thought were on 14 day pay after delivery were paid immediately from my account. 2 of the items I haven't even recieved yet. This put an unexpected dent in my budget for the week. I just don't understand why it stopped with no warning. Would someone please explain?

The same thing just happened to me...I was able to use PAD for three things yesterday (small things) and thought I could use it again today. Suddenly, for this last purchase, the service isn't there...money was taken out immediately. Crisis time! So I have to go return a newly purchased printer cartridge tomorrow to cover the amount, otherwise a check I have out to someone, that was deposited into their account today, will bounce. It's totally destabilizing to have PAD one day and not the next...and like another poster, I never asked Paypal for that service! It just started showing up one day about six months ago! What's the story? Some peculiar algorithm we don't know about and they can't explain? Is it tied to the Ebay seller's status somehow in a way we're not allowed to know?? Why do they offer it without telling us why (literally, I simply found out one day I was having my purchases assigned to be paid two weeks later), and then yank it away arbitrarily? FYI, all the purchases are tied to my bank account.

I am having the same exact issue and feel exactly the way you did, Spent so much time tying to figure out how to use this yesterday. It was approved and shows is my preferred payment but I tried to find an item I could use and never was givien the option.. I called both Ebay and PayPal customer service and was never able to get the help I needed. Why did they offer this to me when I cant use it??

Keep in Mind that PAD is not always available. if you have used it before and have more than 5 or 10 transactions going on it wont let you use PAD. WHY? because PP wants to make sure that you have the money availbale in your bank account to pay paypal back. Payment come out automatic out of your bank account and if by some reason you guys dont have money on your bank there is NO WAY THAT YOU'LL BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE PAYMENT METHOD. SO THEN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WILL BE NEGATIVE AND YOU GUYS WILL BE YELLING AT PAYPAL BECAUSE OF YOUR MISTAKE. SO PAD IS SOMETIME AVAILABLE FOR GOOD AND SOMETIMES IS NOT FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.
