How long do I have to pay a negative PayPal balance?

Long story short, I had been making purchases through Steam using PayPal credit and somehow a group of purchases amounting to $150 went through my bank account, but I didn't have the funds because I am between jobs. I tried contacting customer service to figure out why this group of charges did that, and they have been 100% useless in giving me a legit answer and will not correct the charges to go through my PayPal credit. So this morning it shows I have a negative balance for all of those charges amounting to $150 and says I need to pay immedaetly. I am starting a new job in 2 weeeks, so I should be able to pay it within 2-3 weeks at the most. Does anyone know how quickly they will try and send this too collections? Or will I be fine if I don't pay till then?

To be honest only customer services can tell you how quickly they act on negative balance.

But if they know you are going to pay it off soon its unlikely they will pass it on to a debt collection services.

Why not call them and let them know a rough date you can pay?

Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

OR

have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
