An automatic recurring transfer failed to be set up. Please try again.

I keep trying to set up a new weekly transfer to my son's student account but after filling in the details etc it then says this --

"An automatic recurring transfer failed to be set up. Please try again."

I tried to figure out a way to contact PayPal support to ask for help but failed. So... I created an account here. I searched for my error but didn't see it anywhere here. Any advice or suggestions of how to resolve this problem? I'm a little bummed that I deleted the old weekly transfer, but it was for the wrong amount. Still though... it was working. 🙂

paypal have issue with parent to student manage account. 2 of my friends have almost same problem they are having problem transferring the money to the student account. they were told a major issue with parent and student account.

One of the options with the Student Accounts, is that you can both transfer to the Student Account and then Transfer back to the Parent Account.  I have $196 in a student account and needed to transfer it back to the Parent account and I've been trying to do this since like the last few days with no success.  It just says, that the One time Transfer has Failed and to try again later. I called Customer Support and waited online for about 45 mins and they told me that there was a problem with the Student Accounts but it would be nice to know what is going on and get an update without having to call and wait again on the phone.   This issue is making it impossible for me to use money that is avaialble and I deposited into an account. Please give us an update on this.

erq - Please share how you deleted the old weekly transfer. I have a weekly transfer set up from my Paypal acct to my son's Paypal account, and I cannot find out how to delete that transfer. I feel like I've looked everywhere on the site, and there is nothing in the "help" pages about how to do it !
