Add a debit or credit card

I just confiremed my bank account and want to buy NBA leauge pass with Paypal (it's a one time, full payment), I competed the forum on NBA and was sent back to paypal to "add a debit or credit card to complete purchace", I don't have either, that's why I'm using paypal and not them. The money from my bank hasn't been transfered yet, I have to wait 3 days  yet, is that why it's asking for a card? Once the money is transfered will I be able to use my account without adding a card?

Normally when you pay someone paypal will credit that person in advance and paypal will take the wait for the funds to transfer.

BUT if you don't have a back up card linked as well then paypal will process the payment from your bank account but you will have to take the wait for the funds to get to the seller.
