Waiting on two refunds and one open case

Just wondering how long im going to have to wait for my refunds they were issued very soon after I had paid for the items then had to cancel the order and asked for my payment back, which was easily given by the Seller.

Now ive been waiting for days for my PENDING refund...temporary hold.

There has got to be a better way for paypal to do this then making somone wait weeks for their money...

Just a little upset, and then theres the open case being reviewed by paypal, says on it I will be notified shortly of the outcome but....its been weeks..

Hi weskitten!

From the sounds of the refund situation, I gather that the payments were funded by Instant Transfer. Instant Transfer is a bank funded payment method in which PayPal will front the money to the seller while we wait on the bank transfer to clear. Typically, bank transfers take can take up to 7 business days to complete. PayPal offers Instant Transfer to speed up the payment process so that the seller receives an immediate payment and can get the buyer's item shipped out more quickly. 

If an Instant Transfer funded payment has been refunded or reversed while the bank transfer is still processing, a Temporary Hold is placed until the money has cleared from the bank. Once the transfer from the bank account is successfully completed, the money will be credited to your PayPal balance.
