Still Waiting

Bought an item online then order was canceled and refunded from facebook, $51.26 i got $7 of that put into my paypal instantly and the remaining ammount has had a pending hold on it for days now...

Says paypal will update me shortly with news about the temp. hold...lmao i dont think anyone has ever been updated shortly by paypal.

Getting pretty frustrated as it was paid for by mistake and then refunded in a matter of minutes...so not sure what the hold up is about.

I really think paypal needs to follow up on what is promised "updated shortly" doesnt seem to be in their vocabulary...

I need to know why exactly there is a hold on $40 of the dollars when $5-7 was given back instantly...

AND how much longer until this magestic white unicorn of a "updated shortly" will appear as promised???

Thanks alot to anyone who can figure this mystery out with me, i paid by instant transfer, the refund goes directly to my paypal account,not bank or credit or debit card so...um...whats with the wait???

I don't know the specifications on facebook payments as this is a relatively new feature, but in general refunds may take 5 - 7 business days (no weekends or holidays) but could potentially take longer depending on the funding source.

Funding source was my paypal account through my verified chequing account Ive never been made to wait this long...

Its been over a week and I dont know how to get a hold of paypal this is really annoying and it really makes me not want to use paypal anymore.

Is there a number for paypal or an email address i need to get this sorted out as it does matter to ME even if paypal doest care about its customers.

Since you claim you used a bank account, then the funds should be deposited back in your PayPal balance from which then you can transfer back into your bank.

Just wanted to update on this.

I used the number provided and tried painfully to recieve help from the person on the phone who could not speak english very well. I asked why my money had not been replacced into my account and he went on some rant about it taking till thrusday or friday due to my bank having to give paypal permission to give it back to my paypal account...?? ok...so I asked well the money had not been taken from my account yet if it took 7-8 days for my bank accout to give permission...he gave me the run around and sounded very nervous.

I ended up not getting any help other then that it was going to take another week for $48 to be returned to me.

I got off the phone after telling him none of that made sense...it was an instant payment then refunded within not even 5 minutes due to a mistke on facebooks part...paypal let me have $7 instantly but not the $48 rest of it..which made NO SENSE. he said its because it takes time to refund it lol

I checked my paypal after talking with this person and low and behold theres my $48 lol

So that proves they do try to hold it to make money off it. lol

Guess everyone has to make money somehow...

Just know not to give up getting your money back in a timely manner people!
