Paypal Transaction was denied

Around a month ago I bought something online with my debit card and the currency was wrong so the seller denied the money. I browsed around the fourms checking an approximation of how long it would take for my money to return to my bank account/debit card. One fourm said it would take 30 days. its been around 38 days now and I still have not received my money back in my account is there something wrong?

Is there any chance the money was still transfered to the sellers account and that they have taken the money?

Have you checked your paypal balance?

Yes i've checked almost daily and nothing has shown up. Also checked my bank account still no transaction from paypal. Is there anyway I can speed up the process?

I also read a post from paypal about the denied money being returned back to the card holder/ bank account that was used to pay in 30 days still nothing.
