There are several postings with this question or similar, so I hope this one gets answered!
I create PayPal invoices and want to use a custom invoice number (and have them advance sequentialy). No matter what number I use, subsequent invoices always revert back to some weird default number.
How can I really reset the invoice number to what I want?
Thank you for any help!

Hi - The auto-numbering is based on the highest number you have entered into the invoice number field. There is currently no way to reset this number. To use lower numbering, your only option today is to manually enter a number each time. I know that is not convenient.
We will definitely add this issue to our list of fixes we are prioritizing. If others have this concern as well please continue to voice it, since your feedback helps us to prioritize our updates.

This is a major problem for me, since I had a typo in my invoice number a few months back and now the autoadvance is working from that (incorrect) invoice number. I have no way of fixing it, and it's really starting to be a problem!

Now that it is a new year, I 'd like to be able to change my invoice number to distinguish between 2012 invoices and 2013 invoices. How can I change the invoice number. I see that others are asking and that PayPal acknowledges that it is a feature that needs to be added/fixed. Is there any news on this. Thanks.

Yes this is a very bad deal....if you make a typo at some point you are stuck with a numbering system that may not work so well for you.
