How do I set credit card as default payment method?

Hi
For months or years I allow this gripe to go unvoiced, until I get stung with an overdraft fee because PayPal has pulled funds from my bank account, rather than my desired credit card.
So I ask again, even though I know the answer - please can we set credit card as the default payment method?
Don't act like you can't. It's an unethical business choice you've made to get a double dip on fees, because your fees are set (and marketed) on the expectation that a credit card is going to be used to make payment.
It makes the customer experience horrible, especially given all the misleading ways you've altered the login/payment process over the years to try and make us accidentaly pay by bank account.
You will lose all your customers in a heartbeat the moment another (non credit card) payment method reaches ubiquity. The separation from eBay is the first indication this is not far away.

Well the answer is that you can't.
What you can do is what i do every time and just click on "change" during the payment process and selecting a card.
I have done it for so long now it is just automatic.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I too have done it anywhere from 500-1000 times, so yes, it becomes automatic.
However, this automatic programming you seem so content with, can lead me to accidentaly pay by bank account when I encounter a non-standard version of PayPal's interface on a less popular site. It's that 1 in 100 error, and the resultant overdraft fee, that reminds me how much I dispise PayPal's treatment of their customers.
I'm just wondering how many other users must emplore PayPal to implement this feature before they'll finally listen?

It would certainly be good to be able to choose.
I always want to pay with credit card as it gives added protection.
But they won't change it....why? because if folks fund their payments via a bank account then if a paypal dispute fails they can't do a chargeback via their credit card company.
And thats the exact reason i WANT to use my card.
I did not actually say i was content with it, i just said it becomes automatic to click on change and i know that i will have to put up with it as they are not going to give us that choice.
