Echeck is cleared but payment was not received

I recently booked an accomodation and paid through PayPal. The echeck has cleared on my account but when I contacted the accomodation, they said that the payment still hasn’t cleared on their end. There’s no option for me to cancel the payment, nor does it say “unclaimed.” Is that normal? Is there usually a delay on the other end when processing eChecks?
