Why the refund is directly went to my credit card

Hi,

I recently paid $100+ and got it refunded. But still my PayPal balance is empty.

Below is the refund summary.

(When I purchased, there was $7 in my PayPal balance and the rest was charged from the card)

I called my credit card company and they have said that there is no refund request had come, but if there is, it will take up to 7 days.

A special note should be taken, as I had to renew my credit card in between the buying and refunding (but with the same details except CCV).

Would that be an issue?

And, why it was all credited to my card, but not to the PayPal balance?

Read the part in the second pic carefully where it says Refunded to:

$7.34 goes back on your PayPal balance (same day as the refund was issued)

RS17,990.81 LKR goes back to your Visa (for credit cards, allow up to 30 days or your next statement.)

If the card is the same account number is ok.

What is the date of the refund?

Is the status of refund marked "Completed"?

Completed refund status means: "Your refund has been sent and completed on the seller or recipient's side. You still may not see the payment in your PayPal available balance. It may take an additional 3 to 5 business days to process, even if it's marked as Completed."
