I am new and have no transaction history. If I make a purchase at a Target store, where they take checks in the store, will it show up on my Paypal.me link in my Transaction History? What retailers take eChecks?

No, it will not.  You can't use PayPal.me link for "in-store" purchases.  Read about what PayPal.me is.

To use PayPal in-store where available, you need a smartphone, download the PayPal mobile app, add a mobile number, confirm the number, and choose a PIN number through your account profile.   

Since you are new to PayPal, you should read more about how various account features work in PayPal before you jump to making in-store payments because paying in-store has nothing to do with PayPal.me.  There is so much to learn and can't put it all in one post.

So then, what do I have to do to build a transaction history so I can use my account? I don't want to get any cards, whether credit or debit. I am unsure what retailers take eChecks, as Customer service tells me, or how to get it started.
