Refunds are intended to function in a specific manor:
If you paid using your PayPal Account Balance or Bank Account, the refund is credited back to your PayPal Account Balance. Times can vary for many reasons, it can take from 1 day to several days depending on the funding source used by the party doing the refund.
If you paid using a credit card or debit card, the refund is credited back to that card. That process can take up to 2 weeks for the credit to appear on your card or bank statement.
If you paid using a prepaid type card, the refund is credited back to that card however, as many cards are not reloadable, you have to contact the card issuer for assistance with getting the credit reapplied to the card.

My problem isn't getting money refunded to my bank. My problem is I don't want money transferred to my bank from PP, unless I say to. Chances are if I order something and am not happy and get refund I am going to be looking again for that item. Why fool around with putting it back in bank and making me wait till it gets there to reorder?? Just leave it alone in my Paypal account unless I request it to be sent to my bank. PLEASE

if you want your refund to stay in your Paypal account ,then make sure you have enough to pay for the original purchase in your Paypal account.

Use to be when you got a refund they would leave money in PP account. Then when you ordered another item they would take that money first then make a withdrawal from your account for the rest if needed. Made things alot easer and no waiting for money to be transfered back to your account.

cant make everyone happy?
Some may want their refund to go back to the bank if it comes from the bank, but I see your point,ACH takes too long.
Just before you make purchases, there is enough money in your Paypal account to pay for them,OR dont return anything, buy carefully.

go to your profile, look up debit card and de link the bank account.
Then all you have is what is in your Paypal account,it will not use the bank as back up source,
which means you would have to have enough in your Paypal account to pay for whatever you are buying, any refund would stay in your Paypal account.
