Rude customer service. I was just asked by a customer service rep if I could read. Really? I then asked to speak to his supervisor and he said, no. He told me I could just wait on the phone and he sat there and whistled. I cannot make this stuff up. He finally got back on the phone after I said I could sit there and wait as long as he could. I asked him for his name and he said he already gave it to me and he wouldn't give it to me again. I asked him for his supervisor's name and he said it was "Bob." I asked him for Bob's last name and he said, "Bob, isn't that cool." He was extremely rude and condescending. I am very close to closing this PayPal account. I also waited for an hour to even get a human being on the phone - if you want to call this person a human being.

You have choices.
You can phone customer service to close your account
Or
You can phone customer service and be polite, patient, and persistent.
PayPal doesn't really need you as a customer.
You decide if you really need PayPal or not. If you do then you learn how to work with customer service. PayPal customer service isn't going to change to fit your desires.

Customers still have the right for service! Not the other way around!
Remember the old adage that "The Customer is Always Right"?
Without customers you don't have a business.

You can start closing your account by clicking the "settings" icon to the right of the screen, and selecting "close account".
I'm sorry for the response you have recieved. As someone who has worked in customer service, I would never be allowed to treat customers in this way. I suppose volunteer advisors are not required to be nice as they are not officially employees, but know you do not deserve such treatment.
