Refund status is it real or outdated myth?

Well, the best logic I can put to this after MUCH time looking to find out Why the refund the seller gave me yesterday is NOT in my balance is that it takes 3-7 business days to clear (amount of days varies depending on which answer one comes across). BUT why all the nonsense trying to find an answer? Paypal's solutions show go to Activity, Advanced Search (which it really called "advanced filters", go to 'Refunds', Enter date range (they already have up!), select the transaction and look at the Status (AND THERE ISN'T ONE!!). All I've got is the refund showing on my Summary page in GREEN. Hello can't you tell someone what a refund amount showing in green means? If you search 'green' or any variation of what it means you get two articles on the relativistic effect of evironmental awareness! C'mon PayPal! Update your help section for those of us trying to find out what's going on so we don't have to do a Google search to find an answer when we ask the question in the 'Help" section here. FWIW the answers about the time lag in Google are From PayPal that don't show up researching under HELP there. OYE!

Well, you do appear to just be repeating yourself, and as such this is getting boring. No! I never asked for advice. I asked for someone to fix the problem. And again, for any one searching ' paypal refund is not showing in my balance ' the answer is wait a week to 30 days. The refund has been acknowledged it takes time for intelectual employees with nothing better to do than look at community forums like this to get it taken care of any sooner. Over an out I shall not reply to any further rantings, ravings, or self perpetuating indulgences perpetuated by preconceived notions of fact.

But for the record kernowlass I did get you to respond again when you said you wouldn't. Smiley Very Happy

Well ''we'' aren't paypal, this is a community user to user help forum.

>>>

If you funded the original paypal payment to the seller with a debit or credit card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.

Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your bank account or credit card but takes up to a week to process through to the bank and a bit longer for a c.c (paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine).

I have PayPal credit. Guess you didn't consider that in your quick admonishment, huh? And it still doesn not address my concerns that someone at Paypal update the 'Help' site with current information (Hmmmm, I am on a paypal website addressing a community that is fully supported by paypal. Does the quick rebuff, we are not paypal Really fit?). As stated previously what I found about the wait time does not come up. The steps to find the status, that is NOT shown after following them does. NEXT..................

It is you my poor deluted friend that were rude with your hasty and derisive comment about not being paypal. I would be grateful if you would not reply to mine or any other concerns posted in the community as it is very clear you are more concerned with posting what you want to proclaim, than actually read the concerns and remain silent if you cannot offer constructive advice.

And for anyone else who might still be reading this. I already addressed my own concerns in the original posting, the point of which was to have something available online so that when some other poor frustrated buyer might wonder what was going on and why the HELP solution did not provide a working answer to their concerns, the topic "Re: Refund status is it real...." would bring up the real answer about it simply taking a week or more to be applied, when one does a search to find the answer. But it has been fun bearding the lions in their den, hasn't it kernowlass??

I will reply when and however many times that i want to.

And the reason i put that comment was so you appreciated that you were not getting a reply from a paypal employee but that this was a community forum.

MOST folks reply with something like ''oh thanks for the info'' etc and then there are rude people like yourself.

And don't worry no one else will be reading your silly thread, I only replied because no one else had bothered.

And that was probably because your first post was uneducated and rather silly, who does a search for ''green''. Smiley Very Happy

As for me not replying to anyone else, that is not going to happen either. I have over 6000 solutions / kudos from USERS on this forum that have thanked me for my help, the moderators also appreciate what I do and I have helped hundreds from being scammed.

So your opinion hun is worthless   Smiley Wink

And when you strike out on one, you appear to be emotionally unequipped to handle it. Getting lashed out at and blamed when it's pointed out that one is wrong rather than apologize and move on has become a plague in modern culture. There was no reaon to thank you, the only real solution you provided was already addressed in my posting and other than that you chose to lecture me and provide advice that did not apply. Just what was I supposed to thank you for?? You did not provide a solution to the problem, and if you would bother to read my following explanation to the community you would see that I had in fact already done that myself, hun! So, let's just agree to disagree and you can look for the next posting to provide advice on and believe you are doing so out of concern for others, not yourself.

No your are right in that community members cannot always provide the correct advice BUT as you did not give ALL the info I gave what advice I could.

I told you firstly that this was not paypal but a community forum so ''we'' were not employees, somehow you took offence at that.

Then I gave you an answer that has helped thousands on this forum when they are hunting for their refunds, ok maybe it didn't help you, again no reason to be so rude.

If you had said it was paypal credit then you would have had different advice.

But then you did not want advice at all did you? You just wanted to rant at paypals help pages or rather your lack of understanding and then have a pop at anyone that replied to you.

As i may have mentioned previously after 6000 kudos from GRATEFUL users of this forum, your opinion HUN is worthless.

Cheeribye.
