I learned today that payPal had a serious problem with Mastercard — so serious that, according to a PayPal service rep named "Jeff" (and whose conversation I legally recorded) "PayPal decativated all Mastercard cards on Thursday because of a problem with Mastercard."
I was told this after my Mastercard was inexplicably deactivated. Did other PayPal users have their Mastercard cards deactivated? And if so, WHY DID PAYPAL FAIL TO DISCLOSE THIS? On http://downdetector.com/status/paypal, there was a HUGE spike in PayPal reports yesterday, and yet, PayPal has failed to reach out and inform its cardholders of problems. The average number of daily reports regarding PayPal problems is about three, but on Friday, 9 Septemeber 2016, it leaped to over 200.
PayPal needs to get its **bleep** together.
