I would like to sell some rubber stamps I no longer use through a Facebook destash site. I do not have a business account, I'm just destashing. I've asked for help figuring out how to use Paypal to do this and people have been very helpful, but it appears that I do not have some of the headings others have when I log into my account. Since the missing headings are where people are telling me to look, I'm at an impass. Others have these headings: Summary, Money, Activity, Reports, Tools, More and Help. Tools is where I'm being told to look for things, but I do not have a heading labeled Tools. Instead, I have Summary, Activity, Send & Request, Wallet, Benefits, and Help.

I can see how to create an invoice. I would like to use Paypal shipping, calculate shipping costs, and print labels. Some of the women responding to my query on Facebook have posted images of the Paypal site page that shows shipping costs, but for the life of me, I cannot find it on the Paypal site no matter what kinds of search terms I use. One page referred me to http://passport.borderlinx.com/shipping_tools.php?lang=en&country=us, but that's not even on the Paypal site itself and doesn't seem to include what I would need. I'm told I'll be able to print labels when the invoice is paid; I sure hope that's true.

I've tried phoning Paypal, but I've been on hold listening to the same recorded messages until I'm about ready to tear my hair out; 45 minutes is enough, no one answered, and it's after 10 p.m., so I'm turning to you:

1. Why wouldn't I have the headings others seem to have when they log into Paypal? Is it because those headings only apply to business accounts?

2. Can individuals without a business account access Paypal shipping? If so, what does it take for an individual to access it?

3. Where on the site is there information on the rates for various package weights? I really need a link!

4.  Is the capability to create a shipping label is unavailable until the invoice is paid? And since I do not know the buyer's address, only the email address the buyer uses for Paypal, will Paypal show the buyer's address on the label?

5. I'm told a tracking number will issue when the label prints; is that correct? Does Paypal transmit that tracking number to the buyer, or do I need to take care of that?

6. You can gauge the level of my ignorance from these questions, so is there anything I'm not asking that you think I should?

Thank you so much for any help you can give me - I really want to sell these stamps and get them out to people who can appreciate them!

if an item is sold on Ebay,it is better to print the shipping label on Ebay, you must first link your Paypal account with your Ebay account so it can take the shipping costs from your Paypal account.

if non ebay sales, then there is Paypal multiordering printing or paypal ship/now for printing shipping labels.

go to Paypal/shipnow and you will see how itworks for one single label, you will need to weigh your item first and it will give you various USPS options and fee .

I dont know why you are not seeing the heading columns, try typing in the Paypal site www.paypal.com and sign in there, you may be accessing an older site.

business or personal account can both accept credit card, print labels etc

Thank you both for your response. I went ahead and issued one invoice; when it was paid, I could go back into my account, look at the transation, and was then given the opportunity to print a label, packing slip, etc. I never did find the page that shows postage calculation options, so I'm using a copy of a page someone posted on Facebook to calculate shipping so I can add it to the invoice. You wouldn't think this would be so hard, would you?

I tried logging in the way you said, Whac-a-mole, but I still have the same headings and they don't include "Tools."

how old is your personal account?

the new personal account is the premier account,it can do pretty much all the tasks business account does, ifyou plan to sell more, you may as well upgrade to business account.

once you upgrade, you may get your columns?

also there is no way to print shipping label from the transaction detail, not packing slip,I dont know why you see it?

Whac-a-mole, I've had my personal account for years now. Are you saying there's a new kind of personal account? If so, what would I need to do to get the new personal account?

I'm just selling off some rubber stamps I don't use any more, and a business account requires a business name and a bunch of other stuff that I'm sure covers Paypal in case business tax authorities come along, but I'm never going to be in that league, so it just doesn't make sense at this time.

Finally, I'm still not finding where on the Paypal site I need to go to find the USPS postage so that I can estimate postage costs for the buyers BEFORE I produce an invoice. I've seen photos of it on Facebook, which is where I'm going now to estimate postage, but those photos came off the Paypal site, so where would I find it so that I can bookmark and save it? That's the only burning question for me right now! Thanks so much for your help.

there used to be 3 kinds of Paypal account-personal,premier and business.

then Paypal get rid of personal,so there is just premier and business.

you should find a way to upgrade to the new personal- premier or it is now called personal.

many of us have business account and just give our name and ss number,if you collect 20,000 and 200 transactions via goods and services ,Paypal will send you a 1099 for tax reporting, makes no diff which account you have

when you are ready to print a shipping label, you will type in the weight and the method of shipping USPS,then PAYPAL WILL Tell you how much is postage.

It does not help you decide postage for invoicing, you can go to USPS website and find out.but first you must know how much the box weighs

I've sent a message to Paypal asking how to get a Premier account - you'd think this would be something you could find on the website, wouldn't you? But the FAQ continues to mention all three types of accounts. Ditto the shipping  costs - going to the USPS website isn't helpful because Paypal shipping gets a better rate than I could get if I just take my packages to a Post Office counter. That's why it's useful/imperative to know what Paypal's rate is, not USPS's rate. You'd think for a company that wants you to use its services they'd make things a little more straightforward... Anyway, thanks for your response.
