Thanks, Olivia, but my spam folder was the first place I checked when I was expecting notice of an invoice and there was nothing there. My ISP hasn't ever routed Paypal emails to my spam folder before, in any case, and I've received notices of invoices previously without any problem. It's just the most recent two that I got no notice of. Very frustrating! ... View more

I use Paypal to receive invoices for things I buy online. I used to get email notifications from Paypal when a merchant had issued an invoice for me to pay. That no longer happens. I haven't made any changes to my account settings or anything like that, so I don't know why the email notifications stopped. It's important that I receive notification when an invoice that I need to pay is pending, so please tell me what I need to do in order to reinstate those notifications. Thanks! ... View more

I've sent a message to Paypal asking how to get a Premier account - you'd think this would be something you could find on the website, wouldn't you? But the FAQ continues to mention all three types of accounts. Ditto the shipping  costs - going to the USPS website isn't helpful because Paypal shipping gets a better rate than I could get if I just take my packages to a Post Office counter. That's why it's useful/imperative to know what Paypal's rate is, not USPS's rate. You'd think for a company that wants you to use its services they'd make things a little more straightforward... Anyway, thanks for your response. ... View more

Whac-a-mole, I've had my personal account for years now. Are you saying there's a new kind of personal account? If so, what would I need to do to get the new personal account?   I'm just selling off some rubber stamps I don't use any more, and a business account requires a business name and a bunch of other stuff that I'm sure covers Paypal in case business tax authorities come along, but I'm never going to be in that league, so it just doesn't make sense at this time.   Finally, I'm still not finding where on the Paypal site I need to go to find the USPS postage so that I can estimate postage costs for the buyers BEFORE I produce an invoice. I've seen photos of it on Facebook, which is where I'm going now to estimate postage, but those photos came off the Paypal site, so where would I find it so that I can bookmark and save it? That's the only burning question for me right now! Thanks so much for your help. ... View more

Thank you both for your response. I went ahead and issued one invoice; when it was paid, I could go back into my account, look at the transation, and was then given the opportunity to print a label, packing slip, etc. I never did find the page that shows postage calculation options, so I'm using a copy of a page someone posted on Facebook to calculate shipping so I can add it to the invoice. You wouldn't think this would be so hard, would you?   I tried logging in the way you said, Whac-a-mole, but I still have the same headings and they don't include "Tools." ... View more

I would like to sell some rubber stamps I no longer use through a Facebook destash site. I do not have a business account, I'm just destashing. I've asked for help figuring out how to use Paypal to do this and people have been very helpful, but it appears that I do not have some of the headings others have when I log into my account. Since the missing headings are where people are telling me to look, I'm at an impass. Others have these headings: Summary, Money, Activity, Reports, Tools, More and Help. Tools is where I'm being told to look for things, but I do not have a heading labeled Tools. Instead, I have Summary, Activity, Send & Request, Wallet, Benefits, and Help.    I can see how to create an invoice. I would like to use Paypal shipping, calculate shipping costs, and print labels. Some of the women responding to my query on Facebook have posted images of the Paypal site page that shows shipping costs, but for the life of me, I cannot find it on the Paypal site no matter what kinds of search terms I use. One page referred me to http://passport.borderlinx.com/shipping_tools.php?lang=en&country=us, but that's not even on the Paypal site itself and doesn't seem to include what I would need. I'm told I'll be able to print labels when the invoice is paid; I sure hope that's true.   I've tried phoning Paypal, but I've been on hold listening to the same recorded messages until I'm about ready to tear my hair out; 45 minutes is enough, no one answered, and it's after 10 p.m., so I'm turning to you:   1. Why wouldn't I have the headings others seem to have when they log into Paypal? Is it because those headings only apply to business accounts? 2. Can individuals without a business account access Paypal shipping? If so, what does it take for an individual to access it? 3. Where on the site is there information on the rates for various package weights? I really need a link! 4.  Is the capability to create a shipping label is unavailable until the invoice is paid? And since I do not know the buyer's address, only the email address the buyer uses for Paypal, will Paypal show the buyer's address on the label? 5. I'm told a tracking number will issue when the label prints; is that correct? Does Paypal transmit that tracking number to the buyer, or do I need to take care of that? 6. You can gauge the level of my ignorance from these questions, so is there anything I'm not asking that you think I should?   Thank you so much for any help you can give me - I really want to sell these stamps and get them out to people who can appreciate them! ...
