Create payment button page on Paypal Site 404 and my payment buttons stopped working

I use the old paypal buttons on my web page to sell content. My buttons stopped working a couple months ago but I just now found out (low volume store). When going to https://www.paypal.com/buttons/select I get a 404 error.

Here's my page with buttons: http://www.wrightbrothersrc.com/wargaming/index.htm

Clicking one of those buttons sends me to a page that says: "Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later."  This suggest a temporary error, but I assure you it always fails.

I was just going to re-create my buttons, but the 404 is blocking me. So I have TWO problems. Any help?

I think the fix should be easy - PayPal made some changes concering currency symbols like "$" - you can no longer send the currency symbol with the amount   For exampl "5.00" works but, "$5.00" isn't permitted any more - thus you get the error on the PayPal screen.  Go back and remove the "$" from the "amount" variables and you should be good to go.   I didn't look at all of your buttons - if there's something else - come back.

This indeed resolved the issue on my site. Thank you very much for the help.

The paypal create button page is still generating 404 errors, so I cannot add new buttons, but at least my existing ones have been fixed. Thanks again.

The instructions for creating a button say to log in to my account and click on TOOLS, I can't find a TOOLS on the menu or anywhere else, nor can I find any info at all by searching for "Create a button".  I have an active button on a site now, but I went into create a new one and can't find a way to do it.
