Unable to print International labels

Anyone else having this issue??? Have tried 3 PC's (2 with Windows XP, 1 with Windows 7), Mac with OSX 10.9.1, 2 different networks, current version of Java as well as an older one. Usually just get a system error but occasionally the Sample label page will show but Select Printer and Print Page buttons will not work.

When I click on the error message for details, I get:

"Missing Application-Name manifest attribute for: https://ibdswebp14-ext.pb.com/TranResponse/bnblabel.jar"

There is more but I won't go into it. Seems to be a problem between Pitney Bowels and Java. USPS Click 'N Ship works fine but you lose out on the PayPal seller protection.

Thank you for your work around instructions.  I have been fighting with this for a week and your settings worked for me.  Donna

THANK YOU!!!!

Our business takes payments only through PayPal and I haven't been able to print a label through them for awhile now.  I just found your post and added both URLs.  It worked.

Praise the internet gods and people who post their solutions 😄

Not sure if this works yet, but it is the best idea I have heard. Will try tomorrow.  I have over 30+ orders (domestic) that i have tried to print / void / reprint / void / reprint..  it is a vicious cycle.

Sometimes it would work, and other times it would just continue to fail until I printed on regular paper.

I have been using my Dymo 450 Turbo label writer for years now. Thought maybe that was the issue.

Was hesitant to monkey with the Java settings as thought PayPal would resolve this quicky. But since my tech support case still shows "researching", I modified the Java settings as NilaRose posted. That did allow me to print an International label. Sure hope PayPal and Pitney Bowes ditch the Java program and come up with a real sulution. Seems we go through this every time Java is updated.

I've noticed I've had to go back and re-add a few more exceptions.

This is my full list now:

https://paypal.com
https://ship.paypal.com/

https://pb.com

https://ibdswebp2-ext.pb.com

https://ibdswebp9-ext.pb.com

https://ibdswebp10-ext.pb.com

https://ibdswebp11-ext.pb.com

I think those last 3 may keep changing depending on how they load from PayPal. May have to just check the error code if one popsup.

*** Edit -- Just added one more

HigherHealth, thanks...I've added those urls in the security section of Java just in case. i dd get an update from Tech Support today stating the issue has been resolved (problably only until the next Java update IMHO). I was able to print an Int'l label this morning. Whether it was the change in Java settings or a real fix, I don't know. But at least it worked 🙂

I had to go back and add one more.

Doesn't seem like it is fixed here.

How are you printing international labels?

Are you using the Multi-Order-Shipping ?

If so, how do you do that. Or is that due to an ebay purchase and it is already in the system. I have tried to add International addresses in there, but that doesn't work.

I don't sell on eBay but rather have a webstore hosted by GoDaddy.  Payment comes in through PayPal. I go to my PP account overview and choose Details for the payment I want to ship, at the bottom of Details I choose Print Shipping Label and address is already populated by PP payment. I enter the shipment details and was then taken to the Customs declaration page. After completing that, a pop up windows comes up that has the Java applet and that is where things were failing before today. I tired Multi Order Shipping back when this all started and it didn't work either. Have not tried that since.

I have 2 computers, one a laptop with Windows 7 and a desktop with Windows XP. I have had difficulties with both printing international shipping labels. With the laptop, sometimes the label goes through with the regular PayPal/USPS/Pitney Bowes program.

The desktop will not print international labels at all anymore I don't think.

I have done clean reinstalls of Java on both machines to no avail. Any help would be most appreciated before I go quite mad!!!

I had the same problem, domestic labels print fine, international would not print.

Here is how to get around it:

When you click the label to print, you will see the hourglass and the print label screen will not appear. Just right click on the page, and select "inspect element."  This will complete the action and take you to the print screen.
