I must have missed something important. I have a wordpress site, and I've followed the instructions to set up my buttons on my site. They look right, but when I click on them to try to purchase from my site, it just sends me to the paypal main page, not to my shopping cart. What am I doing wrong??

The button code on your site is likely missing some of the required variables. Some site editors remove code pieces for whatever reason.
Compare what is currently in the HTML source on your site and the code that was originally created by PayPal.
