MultiOrder Shipping Not Available - Or "Not Available" only when printing labels/scheduling pickup

I have been having to do without MultiOrder Shipping for about a week now. I was hoping it was a quick glitch, but am now wondering if any others are having this problem:

For about a week now, I can get into MultiOrder Shipping. I can get all the way through inputing my orders & getting ready to print the labels. But when I hit "Print Label", it tells me "MultiOrder Shipping is not currently available". I also get the same response SOMETIMES when trying to schedule a pickup. So, I can't print any labels through MultiOrder Shipping, and can only sometimes schedule my pickups.

I can, however, still print labels through the standard Paypal method: finding the transaction & printing the label there. But I've also noticed that the "find transaction" function no longer can locate any transaction through the "last name", so I have to use the email.

Anyone else having this issue. I'd really love to get my MultiOrder Shipping back sometime soon.

Many orders might be over 45 days old, but that has always been the case as long as I've used MultiOrder Shipping. I usually book out 1-3 months in advance, and have never had any trouble printing labels for those orders. All of the orders I've tried to print were imported already, but I've tried both using the address provided and also going into the "shipping options" and updating the address myself, neither way works.

While I appreciate your advice on entering each address, what really is the purpose of MultiOrder Shipping if I have to manually enter each address anyway? That saves absolutely no time, in fact, it would take longer for each label, and it still doesn't resolve the issue of being able to schedule a pickup.

I'm sorry to jump in, but I've been experiencing this same problem.  I've been using MultiOrder shipping for years and only recently have come across probelms shipping older orders as I run about an 8 week turnaround at any given time.  I have always told my customers that they would receive an automated email once their package is shipped and that doesn't happen when I have to manually enter their information in MultiOrder shipping as there isn't a place for the customer's email (unless there is some way to notify them automatically and I'm just naive).  I'm not able to print orders individually since I use a Dymo label printer which only works through MultiOrder.  Is there any possible way to print these older orders through MultiOrder shipping?

I am also experiencing repeated problems with multiorder shipping. I can NEVER schedule a pickup and about 50% of the time I am unable to print my labels once I am ready to pay. I get a message stating the shipping tool is unavailable. I did try to print only a few labels at a time and found one address that would not print...as indicated as a possible issue in a previous post. I'm not sure why the one address would not print, as it worked fine when I completed the label through regular Paypal shipping? Working with Paypal is so frustrating!!! I hope these issues get resolved, as I pay a substatial amont in paypal fees every month for these services.

I have not been able to print shipping labels for over 2 weeks. I can enter all of the info, but when I go to "ship" to "pay", I get the following frustrating message (SAME for ANY NAME?ADDRESS I try to print)

"Invalid value for: Address ID Correct Input" Order could not be created.

The same thing happens from home computer and work computers???

TheRatStash,

Would you be able to provide some specific dates/times for when the error message is showing for the "Schedule a Pickup" feature? That information would really help us troubleshoot the issue.

Welcome amandajocarter 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing the same issue.  Thanks for letting us know.  Are you also receiving an error message when attempting to schedule a pickup?

If you print the labels manually, there is still an option to enter the tracking information into the details of each payment.  It's not automatic but it will still result in an email being sent to the buyer with the shipping info.

I'll let you both know when I have more information.

I will try to keep track this week for exact dates & times as I attempt to ship out packages. I can tell you that for the past 2 weeks I have been unable to print any of the imported orders I needed to ship through MultiOrder Shipping, & my hunch is that all of those orders were older than 90 days. I did, however, print a label that was not imported today, creating a new order and entering all the information, and that was the first label I have been able to print through MultiOrder Shipping.

If this turns out to be an issue of orders older than 90 days old not printing, what is Paypal doing to fix this issue? I know many vendors who take orders months in advance, and that issue would render MultiOrder Shipping useless.

I did confirm today that this error would appear for transactions older than 45 days.  Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.  I know that this removes the convenience of the import option for merchants that do not fulfill orders within 45 days. I'll make sure our shipping team hears your concerns.  You will still be able to import orders using Comma Separated Values (CSV) or Tab Delimited (TAB) files.

For eBay orders, the orders cannot be older than 14 days.

Another option would be to download your history file and import the transactions as a CSV file.  I've pasted instructions below for this process.  There is a column for payment date but you do not need to specify that column in the file as it's an optional column in the Multi-Order Shipping Tool.

You first need to download the PayPal transactions you wish to import. Here’s how to download your transaction history:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Go to the History tab and click "Download History."
  3. On the right side of the page, click "Customize Download Fields" (not available for PDF).
  4. Uncheck "Single Column Shipping Address" under PayPal Website Payments & Auction Payments.
  5. Check "Multi-Column Shipping Address" under PayPal Website Payments & Auction Payments.
  6. Click "Save."
  7. Select the Custom Date Range for the report.
  8. Click "Download History."
  9. Name your file and click "Save."

After you download and save the file, you will need to open it and create a column name for the shipping fields you need. This may include:

  • First Name
  • LastName
  • Company
  • Street 1
  • Street 2
  • City
  • State
  • Zip
  • Country
  • Phone
  • Order ID
  • Item #
  • Quantity
  • Payment Date
  • Custom Message
  • Shipping Carrier
  • Insurance Value

After you name your columns in Excel, you can import it to the Multi Order shipping tool. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click "PayPal MultiOrder Shipping" on the Account Overview page. The MultiOrder Shipping page opens in a new window.
  3. Click "Import" in the top toolbar and a drop-down menu appears. Note: You can also import from the Getting Started pop-up window.
  4. Click "From File (CSV, TAB)" to import the Excel file you created.
  5. Click "Browse," locate your saved Excel file, and click “Import.”
  6. Map the fields from the spread sheet to the columns available by clicking and dragging each column to the matching box.
  7. Enter a name in the "Save mapping" box, if you wish to use the mapping again.
  8. Click "Done."
  9. Click "Finish" after the import process is complete.

Add any remaining shipping details on the Orders to Ship page, and then print your labels.

I hope this helps! 🙂

I'm having the same problem. For about 2 weeks now.. this happened before and it ended up working within the same day... I have approx. 60 orders to ship in the next two days and it'll take me FOREVER to print them individually through paypal as I have been doing for the past two weeks 😞 i'm hoping this issues gets resolved soon! and I ahve tried to individually print each address. so it is not an address issue

Went to print labels for a batch of orders today. I was not able to print an order that was paid on the 5th of February, but was able to print a label for an order paid on the 13th of February. I was also able to print a label for a non-paid order that I entered all shipping information in manually. I was not, however, able to schedule a pickup through MultiOrder Shipping, and had to schedule after printing a label through the main transaction screen.
