This is stupid, the funds that I just received from a sale are unavailable and the only reason that makes sense is that it's considered "irregular" for my account. WTF?
I've been selling for over 3 years on eBay. I'm weeeeellll past the "new seller" restriction and I have a perfect seller rating. Never had negative feedback.
The only reason I can think they would hold my funds is because it's "irregular" activity. I literally sold an item for nearly the same price about 2-3 months ago and have had a decently steady flow of sales since then. Many of my more recent sales have been many smaller amounts, but I've had instances of selling items near the price I sold the item today for.
What gives? I needed this money to pay bills since I'm between jobs and haven't started my new one yet. Now I run the risk of being behind on my credit card payment AND my phone bill.

There's more to irregular sales than just prices. There is the type of product, the location of the buyer, the frequency of transactions, the sources of the funding. PayPal has algorithms in place to evaluate each sale and determine were risks seem higher and then will hold funds longer.
Managing cash flow reserves is an important part of business and personal finances; that's not a PayPal issue.

It's just a watch. And I've sold plenty of them over the past 3 years, some around the same price of the one I sold today too. I've also been selling many watches and ties over the past 3 months.
Everything has been through PayPal from high rated members.
Could it be more than that? All of my sales are within the USA since I hate dealing with corrupt customs and lost items when I ship abroad.
I guess I still don't see the point of holding funds that aren't really "irregular" for me.
