Do non-USA residents have to join PayPal to pay my invoice?

I reside and work in the USA. I have a PayPal business member account. I want to send invoices to my customers...and some customers are overseas. My question:  Do my overseas customers have to join PayPal if they want to pay me with a credit card?

Great question Aqua!

You can adjust a setting in your account to better the availability of payment completion from a customer without a PayPal account. Under your Profile in the "My selling tools" section you will find "Website preferences". Click on "Update" and you will see the option to turn on "PayPal Account Optional" for your customers.

While this change will increase your availability to customers without an account, you may encounter situations where the customer will be required to sign up.
