The current situation: I already have a Paypal Business account with an associated Debit Card, which is linked to my personal checking account.
The desired situation: I would like to have a separate Paypal account to accept--and spend--online donations that I am raising for a volunteer project I am doing (and is not a 501(c)3).
(This volunteer project is unrelated to the business I am using the above Business Paypal account for).
I'm just exploring different options. I have several questions:
1. Is it appropriate to create a second Paypal business account, i.e., can I use it for this purpose? (Donations will be reported on IRS Form 1099, and taxable).
1. Can I get a Paypal Debit card for this second account to use just for purchasing supplies for the volunteer project, even though I already have a Paypal debit card for my other business?
2. And if so, could I get two cards so that someone else assisting me is able to make purchases for the same volunteer project when I'm not on hand?
3. Can I link this new account to my personal savings account so that the funds always stay separate from my checking account? Or do I need to open a new/second checking account?
I realize this is a little complicated, so thank you in advance for any questions you attempt to answer.
