I am trying to find out why I am being issued a 1099K when I am not a business owner, do not engage in sales of goods or payments or receive money other than family and friend exchanges and a few sweepstakes prize money (less than $10K and reported on my 1040)? I have been issued a 1099K saying I had income from sales in the amount of 89K+ in 2017 and $169+K 2018. Paypal is not responsive giving the same answer all customers who conduct sales and services receive a 1099K, again, I do not engage in sales and services and I certainly did not receive $89K in extra income. Their transaction report is incorrect all transactions are fees paid to entertainment expenses and duplicated, saying I received that payment twice for all 462 transactions on 700 pages! Insane it is. They are saying "payment" as I received whereas "payment" is in my use of the PayPal network to SEND Payments to somebody. Because of this I have received a $51,000 tax bill from the IRS. Does anyone, none robotic have any suggestions or do I just get a lawyer now. 2 weeks of waiting from PayPal and still no reply to my "ticket submitted". CBotelho Denver, Colorado
