HI! I am a US citizen who is currently in the UK for a few months. I'm splitting rent with someone (a UK resident) and paying them through PayPal. Paypal has that handy tool where they do the conversion from USD to GBP for me. I know they are charging me a fee for doing the conversion or whatever. The problem is that my roomie on the other end isn't receiving the amount it says they should. Ex: I sent what was supposed to be 520 GBP (at least that's what I can see from my end) but they are only receiving about 490 GBP. Not sure how the fees are hitting there. Paypal was convenient and I thought cheaper but with it double dipping from both of us it costs about the same as me just doing a wire transfer from my bank! Anyone tried Apple Pay from USD to GBP phones😂
