Well, this happened to me and the seller revived an email from PayPal, which he forwarded to me saying that the money would be returned to the buyer (me) because he couldn’t receive the money - I sent to the incorrect email. I contacted PayPal - after not seeing a refund - and they don’t even acknowledge that email and keep saying the “payment has been completed”. They are not trying to understand the issue, it seems common practice to hold onto money like this. I closed my account to save myself from being robbed again as this company is corrupt and there is no recourse. Google “sue PayPal” and you Will see many international cases have been filed. ... Paypal is a TOTAL FRAUD.  They are a terrible, dishonest service.  DON"T EVER SEND MONEY TO AN EMAIL!  I did  this, I sent to the incorrect email and had to re-send to receive my books.  PayPal could care less.  They just pocketed my money.  They denied my request to get the money back.  They say the transaction was completed, even though the receipient got an email saying the money would be returned to me.  PLEASE GET ME A MANAGER"S NUMBER. This is absolutely ridiculous.  PAY PAL SUCKS AND I TELL EVERYONE TO USE VENMO!!! MUCH BETTER SERVICE!!! It says that it was completed. However, there recipient contacted me and told me he could not access the money. My fault - I sent to the wrong email addresss. PayPal sent him instructions to add this email to his account so he could access the money but he wasn’t able to do just as the email account is of the University where he is a professor. PayPal sent him an email saying the money would be returned to th account holder ( isn’t that me?) Here is the email: where is my refund ????? Where’s the money?

I made a payment for 50 dollars to a teacher for some books. I sent it to his wrong email address - the university email address I used to contact him about the books. He was not able to receive the money, even though PayPal sent him instructions, because the email address is affiliated with a University. I paid him to his correct email the next day, he received the money and I got my books. However - PayPal refuses to return my $50.00!!! They say the transaction was “completed” - even though the receiver could not access the money. PayPal Even sent him an email that the money would be returned to the account holder. PayPal refuses to refund me! What the heck??? I know I made a mistake by entering the incorrect email - but if the recipient can not access the money than where is it? PayPal - where is my money? If it’s sitting in an account and the recipient is unable to receive it - and he emailed PayPal about this (I have a copy of the email the recipient sent me) - why can’t I get it back? Or will PayPal take my entire payment because of an error in email address? What kind of unethical practice is this? ... View more
