To add a new address, email, or phone number to your invoices, you’ll need to first update your PayPal profile settings. If money gets sent to a closed bank account and the bank accepts the transfer, the bank may issue a check to the former account holder. Alternatively, the bank can reopen the account or contact the person and ask if they want to reopen the account to claim the funds. Banks don’t get to hold on to money that goes unclaimed. Be sure to contact the specific bank for the closed account for more information. The timing for getting money back after a transfer is sent to a closed account can vary depending on the situation and involved financial institutions. However, it may potentially 7-14 business days for a misdirected transaction to get refunded. When you transfer money from your PayPal account to your bank account/card, PayPal automatically converts your funds into your local currency and then converts to your card currency . Hello @Oliden, Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting! I understand your concern about the canceling the payment on your bank's end as you recognized the seller as fraud. Whenever you process the payment, PayPal will first make the payment and then retrieve the funds from your funding source [Bank/card] at a later time. If you do not make the payment to PayPal, the balance on your PayPal account will be negative. In order to resolve the negative balance, you will need to add the funds. Please be informed that you cannot remove an address until you add a new address and make it the home address. Also, you cannot remove an address if it is your card billing address.
