Same here. I've taken 5 loans, paid them all off early, never any negative marks on PayPal. I was approved initially and did not take the loan right away, then when I went back about 2 days later to go ahead and take it, and magically my sales history is insufficient, even though my sales are better than previously.   I have been denied for weeks now, and the only thing they told me is that my sales are too good. I had too many good days and now because of that, my sales look too up and down for me to qualify. Thing is, this is how it has always been with my sales, I have always had days here and there that were much better than others and was never turned down.   I have no reason to even stay with PayPal at this point. The loans were my only plus.     ... View more

Absolutely. Tweet about it, post about it on Facebook and social media, call PayPal and voice your anger and willingness to leave them over this. This is such a greed driven move that I will probably still ditch PayPal just for trying it, even if they do cancel the plans. This shows me exactly what kind of dishonest company they are. ... That is exactly why they want this new policy in place. They know that happens all the time and they want to have our money without doing anything to earn it. It's the finest example of a cash grab. ... View more

I hope PayPal factored in the loss of the majority of eBay sellers who would have still offered PayPal as an option alongside eBay's managed payment before this silly policy/theft. They are no longer the only game in town at this point.   I had intended to stick with PayPal permanently, but they were determined to make me sever all ties. They would have gotten a fair amount of the pie, but now they get no pie at all. I am 1 seller, but multiply that by a million or more and that is a very very substantial loss for PayPal. When they come back holding their hat in their hands offering apologies after they realize what a monumental mistake this policy is, it will be too little too late if they go forward with this on October 11th.  ... Just try not to create situations that cause refunds as a seller?   So tell me, how do i prevent someone from making large purchases and then 30 minutes later saying their dog/cat/parrot/kid/pocket ordered the item when they demand to have it canceled?   How do i prevent a scammer from buying something from me on eBay and trying to get me to ship to another address or opening a phony claim or doing something else that makes canceling the order necessary?    If i made a mistake then I don't have any problem with paying the cost, however with the number of people who purchase on eBay and then want to cancel because they have buyer's remorse or found a better deal, this is not an acceptable policy.   If they go forward with this, they will no longer be part of my business model, and I suspect that 90% of other eBay sellers will be of the same mind. There will be no going back on this, reversing the policy a month down the road will not matter to me, the trust and relationship we have will be ruined beyond repair if this happens on October 11th. ... Add me to the list off long time sellers who are abandoning PayPal because of this. They heard our outrage over this last time they wanted to put this policy into place and they backed off, but now it's like they just stopped caring.   Mark my words, October 11th will be the day that those in charge remember as they day they wish they could take back. I am astounded that those who make policy would chose to do something this self destructive. They have went from losing some PayPal sales on eBay yet still getting a sizable piece of the pie once managed payments on eBay is mandatory to now losing the majority of sales on eBay.   Whatever money they see from this policy is going to be absolutely dwarfed by the money they lose from the mass exodus of eBay sellers who will refuse to do business with PayPal after this. Someone did not think things through when deciding that going forward with this was the best course of action. ... View more

As a full time eBay seller, this is the move that has pushed me away from PayPal completely. Once my working capitol loan is concluded, PayPal will no longer be part of my business model if they go forward with this.   I had planned to keep PayPal along side managed payments on eBay once managed payments was made mandatory, but this policy going into effect on Oct. 11th has ensured that I cut ties completely with PayPal after a long history together. I honestly don't know what PayPal was thinking by doing this, this is going to hurt them severely when pretty much every eBay seller abandons them as a payment processor. They could have still gotten a fair amount of business from us, and now they have just guaranteed that they get none.  ... View more
