I reported an issue trying to add money from my verified Canadian bank account to my PayPal account the first time on July 20. I am sent thank you for contacting us blah blah blah with instructions on how to add money. Well I am not an idiot and provided screen shots attached to the reply message that obviously the support person does not have a program to open a JPG file or doesn't know how to read.   So I send this to support and I get the dumbest reply that doesn't even relate to what I am trying to do. I have done this three times now and after I get the error, I cannot try again because my account gets locked for suspicious activity and have to jump through the hoops with photo ID copies of bank statements etc etc etc. I have asked the support person to escalate this issue but again my thoughts were that maybe English is not their first language so I tried in Spanish too and even that didn't work.   I just want someone technical to review these messages and say "OK" to fix this problem you need to stand on one leg facing due south at 3:39:41 on August 9 and all will be well. I can do that and am willing to wait until then but it better FN work.   I am so frustrated with the lack of QUALITY SUPPORT offered by PayPal. How does one contact customer service without logging in? The phone number used for two factor authentication does not exist and I cannot change it unless I login. In order to send a message to customer service, I need to login. I am a dog chasing my tail. ... View more

Which still does not solve my problem. I cannot go back to Canada just to get a phone number and certainly would not be able to get the same phone number.   I need to somehow get in touch with customer service and have them change the phone number or flip a switch on my account to disable two factor. I cannot do that without logging in. So what options do I have. Create another gmail fake name account, Create another PayPal account and when it asks for the phone number then what.  ... View more

I am a retired Canadian. The problem is that I spend a large amount of time in Cuba, a sanctioned country. However, I have my bank account in Canada and access that account via the internet using a VPN to bypass PayPal prohibited access from here. I also maintain a residence in Canada and until recently still had a phone number in Canada. I have since terminated my contract with the phone company in Canada and have a cell phone from ETECSA in Cuba which is more practical and certainly a lot more economical that roaming charges for messaging.   So obviously PayPal is not going to recognize my phone number here in Cuba and because the number in Canada no longer exists, am I **bleep** out of luck to continue using PayPal for my Apple account and my Usenet Supplier? ... Change of phone number

I changed my phone number because I am now residing in another country and before I had a chance to change my PayPal account details, and upon an attempt to login was prompted with a verification of telephone number to obtain a code to continue. The phone number attached to my account does not exist any longer so I can't get the code. My bank account in Canada is linked to my account and I cannot login to change my phone number nor can I send a message to customer service without logging in. Catch 22. ... View more
