How do I get PayPal to change the account owner's ...

The person listed on our business account as the account owner is no longer with the organization. He has not been seen by anyone in the organization for 3 years and nobody knows where he is. I want to put my name on the account as I am now handling the finances. I have been able to change everything on the Business Profile to my information--the addresses, the phone numbers, and MY Social Security number. But I can't seem to get PayPal to change the old name to my name. I've uploaded multiple requested documents to verify everything they've asked me to verify. After each download, I never hear back from PayPal until I send another message in the Message Center to check on the status. Then, I'll start all over again with a new agent who asks me to upload more documents, which I do. Then I hear nothing back. Again. You can't call them because of COVID. They don't answer the phone. I don't know what to do next. I just need to get the Account Owner's name updated to be MY NAME, not the business name. Suggestions? ... View more

The name of the account owner on our business account is someone who is no longer in our organization. I have tried in vain to get the name changed. I was asked to upload several documents, which I did, and nothing has changed. I'm no longer being asked for any more information, so I don't know what to do now. Trying to contact a real person during the pandemic is impossible, so does anyone have any suggestions? I even tried to open a new business account, but when I put in our organization's email address, it says that we already have an account. Do I have to close that account and loose all our transaction history, just to be able to open a new account with the correct name on it? Why does a business account have an account owner anyway? I thought I had auto return correctly set up so customers would be redirected back to a particular page on our web site after payment, but it's not working. I don't know that much after the technical aspects of PayPal, so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot the problem. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks. ... View more

Let me clarify. I already have a Pay Now button that takes them to PayPal to submit the payment. After the payment, they have to click on Return to Merchant to go to the return URL. I'd like them to be redirected automatically without having the extra click. Is that possible? ... View more

how do I make the Pay Now button larger?

I used the Tools menu to create a new Pay Now button and pasted the HTML code on our web site. The button that shows up is way too small, but I don't understand how to make it larger. On another PayPal page, I saw larger buttons and it gave instructions to replace the original button image with the larger button image, but when I tried that, the button no longer worked. We currently have a Business account and I'd like us to get confirmed as a non-profit to take advantage of the lower fee rates. I've gone to https://www.paypal.com/charities and clicked on Confirm Your Account. I get a message that says "Your business classification is not eligible." Then, it says "your service keyword must be Charitable and Social Service Organization." I can't find where nor how to change that service keyword. Can anyone please help me? Thanks. ... View more
