I am trying to book a trip with hotwire. I have tried and tried to use instant transfer to pay for this and it wont let me use the instant transfer option. I have emailed paypal and they allways give me the same excuse they have no control of their system. So yester day i emailed them. and here is the convo Thank you for contacting PayPal. I understand that you are concerned about using our Instant Transfer Feature however instant feature can be use when there is a valid credit card to serve as a back funding source. Upon careful review it appears that you are trying to send a payment for your purchase on line and Instant Payment is not available to fund this payment since the back up funding source which is your Visa was declined. Here are some reasons why this transaction could have been declined:    * There could be a limit on your credit card that has been exceeded.    * It's also possible that the card issuer could be temporarily unavailable to answer the authorization request we sent.    * Your credit card company could be blocking this transaction because it doesn't fit your regular spending patterns. I'd encourage you to contact your credit card company directly to get to the bottom of this, as I don't have visibility into the details of the denial. For right now, I'd like to help you complete this transaction. My recommendation would be to add another credit card to your PayPal account, if you have one available. Furthermore our anti-fraud practices and transaction reviews, while in place for the good of everyone, do occasionally affect an account in good standing, such as yours. We value your business and are committed to your satisfaction, so we'd like to suggest you try your transaction again with an alternate method of payment. Thank you. Infact i removed it from my account and then added it back and instant transfer is still greyed out. I called by bank and they see nothing wrong with my account and why it wouldnt work, There is way more money in the account than what i am trying to pay for.
