Hi all. Posting here as I have tried to contact Paypal multiple times regarding this and have only received answers which have nothing to do with what I actually asked. I paid for an item on eBay with pay after delivery. The payment is/was due to be debited from my bank account on February 24. The item arrived in a condition which didn't match the description on eBay, so I contacted the seller multiple times with no answer, then opened a dispute through Paypal. When the seller still didn't answer, I escalated the dispute. I have only escalated disputes once or twice in the past but I do remember that when escalated, the payment (when paid with pay after delivery) was put on hold and only debited once the dispute had been resolved. This time, the pay after delivery is still showing as due to be debited on 24/2. I'm very unhappy about this, as I don't really want to be debited a large amount of money for something which is not what it should have been, and the seller isn't responding so could just close their account and be off with it. If I'm disputing the transaction, I feel the payment should be put on hold until it's resolved. I know this used to happen, has this changed recently? For what it's worth, the dispute is "significantly not as described" not "item didn't arrive" if that makes any difference. I don't know if the date showing as still going to be debited on 24/2 is a glitch though, because the "pay now" option has disappeared from the transaction page. If anyone could help, I'd be really grateful. Thanks
