The first rule of a dispute on eBay and PayPal NEVER close the case, once you've done that, you have lost your buyer protection, and you can never open a new case. Most sellers ask new buyers to close a case so as to fall into that trap. If you are unsure about what to do, Google is your friend. Sorry to hear that. Kudos/solution if you find this helpful.

You shouldn't have left a feedback until all agreeable terms are fulfilled. Next time when a seller is asking for early feedback before the item is delivered; its a sign of fraudulent intentions from the seller and report to eBay right away for monitoring.
