If you have only one primary email address, then you may encounter problem to change it. To resolve this issue, you'll need to add a new primary email address to your account. This way it ensures that you can continue to receive important notifications from PayPal through email.
Here's how you can add a new primary email address:
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Settings (the gear icon) near the top right corner of the page.
Click + to add the new email address.
Enter the new email address and click Add email address. We'll send an email to this address, where you can find a link to confirm this email address.
Once the email is confirmed, click Edit next to the new email address.
Select the "Make this my primary email for receiving notifications" check box and click Change Email Address.
Now you can go ahead and remove the old email address from your PayPal account. In the email section, click Remove next to the email you want to remove.
