This error usually occurs if you don't have a business account. You must have a business PayPal account within a PayPal Payments Pro-enabled country to use the Direct Payment API. The absence of a home or customer service phone number on your PayPal account can also trigger this error. If you have a PayPal Payments Pro account and you get this error, check your PayPal account profile and make sure it includes a home phone number or a customer service phone number. Hi, We had an issue where the country dropdown was missing when creating Sandbox accounts on Aug 26/27th, eventually preventing end users from creating sandbox accounts. This was resolved the same day. Let me know if you are still encountering issues. ... View more

Hi, This essentially means that your sandbox account is not a PRO account. You can upgrade your account from developer.paypal.com->Sandbox accounts->Choose your account->Profile->Upgrade to PRO. Once upgraded, you can try to do the Virtual terminal transaction again. ... View more

Direct Payment Recurring Payments (DPRP) is the Recurring Payments product for PayPal Payments Pro account holders in the US and Canada The problem could be withing your PayPal account. The direct card - Recurring payment is disabled on your account. Before that we need to make sure that your account is a PRO and is supported to DPRP. I believe you have created your sandbox account from developer.paypal.com. If yes, you can navigate to developer.paypal.com->Sandbox ->Accounts. Click on the sandbox email address->Choose Profile->API Credentials. There you will find your sandbox account API credentials. ... View more
