I recently had a transaction on my primary payment method, a credit card, declined by the CC company - not at the Paypal stage. I know why the CC company declined the payment, not happy about it, but I do know the reason. My questions are these: 1. Should the transaction been declined early when I selected Paypal and the authorization of payment was being done after I had signed into Paypal, not after I had been approved, the order had been placed? I though the materials I ordered were going to ship for a project and then found out a few days later from my CC company by snail mail the transaction had been declined - and therefore the order didn't really happen. 2. I have a second form of payment, a bank account, which had plenty of money to cover the transaction. However, this was not used when the CC declined the transaction. Should Paypal try the second form of payment automatically? In this case, I don't even know if Paypal knew about the decline. 3. My Paypal statement still shows the payment for the order, as a debit - but it doesn't show anything about a credit to balance to zero. In theory, there is nothing to show that Paypal isn't owed anything from my CC company for the transaction. Is this "normal" for a transaction that is declined? Thanks for any input on this
