To begin, I attempted to transfer from my paypal account to my bank account to which I received an email stating that my request is under review and that it could take up to 72 hours to complete. Yes, I have read all the reasons paypal provides about why my request may be under review and none apply to my situation. The "review hold" has put me in a bad situation and regardless of the legal jargon included in paypals small print which gives them the authority to hold customers funds without justification or reason is simply wrong. A customer should never contact paypal customer service to find out any information regarding problems involving their hard earned money should never be be told... " um....I don't know why your funds are on hold...I am not able to tell you why your funds are on hold....I am not able to do anything for you or...this is the standard waiting period." I understand if there is a VALID reason to place a customers funds on hold however a reasonable explanation should be provided as to the reason why your funds are on hold. People (me included) need start putting out foot down because enough is enough. Perhaps we need to work to change the laws and regulations required by large corporations such as paypal so that they can be fair as well as beneficial to the consumer. All businesses, especially large corporations should be held accountable for their actions as well as their unethical practices.
