Tell me how PayPal make statements like " We look after buyers interests ". I purchased a so called working heat press from a guy on Gumtree and paid an extra £30 to have it delivered via courier. I paid via PayPal but when I received the press I discovered there was a serious fault with the temp controller. I notified the seller and ended up having to take out a case against him in the resolution centre. Eventually they found in my favour and providing I returned the item I would get a full refund. However I had to pay a courier £37 out of my own pocket to return the item. I phoned PayPal and they told me they would refund £15 of the costs which still leaves me £21 out of pocket and nothing to show for it. Meanwhile the seller has got his faulty press back and it hasn't cost him a penny. Surely PayPal should have refunded my initial purchase payment and then got the seller to arrange the return at their expense.
