So, I was selling a digital code on Ebay. I had a customer buy the product, and after I received payment on here, I gave them the code. The code was for something on the Playstation, and I play on PC, so the code wasn't used. After they got the code, they said they were hacked and they demanded a refund. I had no idea if they had redeemed the code or not, so I denied their refund. They got really mad and said the code didn't work, but I swear to my soul that the code was unused. I explained to Paypal that scammers do this all the time, especially with digital products just for this reason. Paypal took their side and back the $59.99 and since Paypal takes a fee on Ebay transactions, I am now in the negative for my balance. I don't think I should have to pay the price for someone else's account being hacked. He may have (and most likely did) get a free game since he got a full refund. Now I'm the one who lost $60, when I was the one not being hacked, and for simply fulfilling an Ebay order.
