Re: Dispute Escalated To Claim Before I (The Buyer...

Hi there,    I am NO expert, however experience with these paople (The site we are currently on) stopped me from using their services a few years ago, I sent an item had proof of posting and everything that should have been available was. They guy got a Thousand pind item of silver from me and because there was a delay in the tracking information being regenerated, paypal escalated the case to a claim with not so much as a bye youre leave - Lomg and the shorof that story was that i lost the item and the money because paypal have configured their rresponse interface in such a controlling manner that it is impossible to provide anything you want to. Although you can 'add files' which will not be opened or reviewed in the resoloution center.   Move on to my latest experience, i sold a pair of genuine timberland boots to a guy in London (They were ladies boots) he recieves the item, privides feedback and the day after asks if i would take them back as they were too small.....(My original listing stated i did not accept returns) I didnt hear anything for a month - and then out of the blue the case is opened, immediately escalated to a clam by paypal and i ended up receiving the boots back after he had been wearing them for a month. I submitted an Affidavit from Timberland confirming my boots were genuine, i supplied onine documentation - I am sorry to say the truth of the matter is that the alleged claims experts couldnt fight their way out of a see through dress, they do not look at any evidence supplied, even if they did they seem unable to comprehend what is sent to them and they will undoubtedly ensure that the claim goes against you, then to add insult to injury they will most likely start holding your funds for periods up to 21 days and generally make your life a misery.   What i had to do, once again was jump through the hoops and wait for the claim to be closed after receiving the goods back, then i had to file a disoute with their team for review and supply further information (Not that it will be looked at) I was sent a questionnaire (Ill copy and paste it for you at the bottom of the post) now it is in the laps of the idiots in the claims team at paypal. I say idiots as i am actually a claims specialist for high net worth maritime claims and i can tell you i know how to collect and coallate evidence, they just dont understand. So what you didnt want to hear me say was that you probably will have more luck sprouting wings which are tattoed with this weeks winning lottery numbers than get anything sensible from these guys, It is not in their interest to help you - they hold your funds and earn interest while they mess about and dont have the courtesy (nor does Fleabay) to give you your selling/purchase fees back.   PAYPAL QUOTE:   -------------------------   You can appeal the outcome of this claim, but we can only consider your appeal if the following questionnaire is completed and returned to us.   Please fax this questionnaire to us at 08707 303 196 by 04/12/2017. So here we go again - I accept an offer for a pair of Genuine Timberland (Ladies) boots from a GUY in London - they are shipped out and received in good time and positive feedback is obtained. The day after the Guy asks if i would take the boots back as they are too small (They are ladies boots) I remind him my original listing specifically stated that returns would not be accepted, even wrote a long letter telling him that i felt for him but they were not mine (My sisters) and the funds had been earmarked for something for her Baby.   Roll on a month and the buyer doesnt even file a case, immediately turns it in to a claim and states that the boots are counterfit (I can assure yu that i have Documentation from Timberland to disprove this lie, I have even been in to Timberland today with the photos of the boots with serial numbers and they also confirm that the boots are GENUINE!!! Paypal do not respond to any evidence i submit, answer messages and allow this fool (kosuko2009) to return the goods (which are yet to be received0 after having worn them for over a month ergo these will not be in the BNIB Condition they were supplied in.....I am not out of pocket not only the ebay fees, the sale value and paypal fees and there is no way to resolve this with a human being.   The Question here is what are my options - I am afraid to say that at this time of year £80 goes a long way and i am not about to throw it away for someone who bought a brand new discounted item fo the wrong gender and then lies about their Authenticity.. Why does paypal not assist the seller in these cases? This is not the first time i have lost money AND the item sold, it is always the buyer that is rewarded in cases such as these! ... View more

These guys like to hold on to your cash and make up all manner of excuses all the while earning interest and claiming they are trying to make the community a safer place - It would appear t be a huge conflict of interests that paypal and eaby are owned by the same parent company - but they have a monopoly on the matter and excuses like the system is down, or they didnt notice all spring to repplies all too easily. I have been paid for 2 items this month and both were held for NO GOOD REASON whatsoever - they are quick enough to hold your money, not so interested to let it go - if only there was another way to deal with this - they dont even allow you to submit evidence that would mitigate circumstances or prove that their claims resoloution giris are about as bright as a 2 watt light bulb  ...
