On October 17, 2017 I purchased item # 22674393667 which a was a Snap-On automotive scanner. I had been watching this auction for a few days since there were no bids and the item also had a Buy-It-Now price. Since there were no other bids, I won the item with the starting bid listed plus shipping. That was Tuesday. Today-Thursday-after I had already received an expected shipping notice of Saturday the 21st, I get a message from the seller that eBay has informed him that he has to pay for the shipping which is odd because I paid the shipping charge in the listing. Anyway, my reply to him was whatever problem he is having or thinks he's having shouldn't affect me or the transaction. While I can't prove it, my gut tells me he now knows that he din't do a very good job listing this item which is why nobody was following it. As the average for these items are usually much higher, I'm sure he didn't expect it to sell for the starting bid price and now he's looking for a way out of the transaction. If this is permitted to go through like this, what's to prevent any seller's sale cancellation after the fact?
