Hi, I recently received an email telling me that I should use PayPal to pay for anything nearly anywhere and in doing so I will automatically receive a £5 discount. There was a time limit for this, it was up to 30th September. The email specifically said: Dear --------, Don't miss out, you've got less than 2 weeks left to spend your £5* almost anywhere. Simply check out with PayPal before 30th September 2017, and your £5 will be automatically applied. How to use your £5 1. Check out with PayPal almost anywhere by 30th September 2017. 2. Your £5 offer will be automatically applied. Tick tock! Your £5 offer expires on 30th September 2017. So I've just pre-ordered a game for £47.99 from Argos on the 29th of September, so before the expiry date, and paid with PayPal. However there is nothing anywhere mentioned about that £5 discount I was promised. When I look at my transactions on PayPal now it simply reads -£47.99 for Argos. I'm wondering where this supposed "automatically applied" discount is. Can anyone help me with this? I want to cancel the order if this £5 discount isn't going to work for me because I could get the game far cheaper elsewhere, especially as it comes closer to the release date. Perhaps I just need to be patient though and the discount will kick in at some point soon? I don't know. Thanks.
