I was scammed out of $400 by a company CustomGoldGrillz.com and PayPal ruled my dispute in their favor. Long story short, I order a $400 set of what were supposed to be custom made grillz from this company. They are actually notorious scammers and had I done more research I would have quickly discovered all of their positive reviews online are botted and literally say "This is a sponsored review" and all of the 1 star ones detail how they were never sent their product either. However, I just saw 5 little gold stars and instantly purchased despite my better judgement. The process goes like this: they send you a mold kit, you make the mold and send it back then they back your grill and ship it out. Well, upon getting no response after no response back after dropping this much money and sending in my mold I emailed telling them I would have no problem reporting them to the BBB, which instantly warranted a response. During this period of complete silence is when I actually did the research I should have done prior and figured out all about this scam. So when they offered me an 80% refund, then retracted it the very next day, I opened a dispute with Paypal. This guy was playing constant word games after words games he was very good at weaseling his way out of providing my product let alone a refund, when I brought up their own return policy, which obligated them to give me atleast a 80% refund I essentially had him in a spot where he would have to either send my product or refund me. That is, until, unknowing to me, he uploaded "proof of shipment" or tracking information whatever you call it of the tracking information from when i recieved the mold kit, it showed delivered so he attempted to pass that off as proof that he sent me my product and I was trying to "Extort him, surely I don't have to honor his request it would be a 100% profit loss". Lmao, his other peice of proof was a facebook review I wrote on his company detailing this experience. So that review coupled with the fact that he put downright dishonest and misleading tracking information lead paypal to close the dispute and decide in his favor within minutes due to "Extortion". Lol. How can you extort someone to refund you for a product you never recieved and they had no intention of sending to begin with? So now I'm out $400 and this guy can live on to scam another day. Any advice, I mean I appealed it but now I have lost all faith in the claim/dispute process due to the fact he openly admitted several times in our Paypal dispute messages that he never sent me the grillz.
