Hello Community. I've just got paid GBP 880 from a client who I orignally was going to charge GBP 840 for a trip (travel) I'm providing him with but since I used the PP calculator, it asked me to charge GBP 38 some odd so I addded another 40 GBP on top of my orignal cost thinking that I will get the rest at the current exchange rate of 83 Indian Rupees to 1 GBP. It's a new account so I had to wait for 21 days to receive the money but the exchange rate is the same. Today I had a mail saying that the money has been transfered to my account and when I checked it was another 27 odd GBP less than what I was suppose to get?? So, for a payment of GBP 880 I've actually ended up paying an extra 66 or 68 GBP!!! I devided the Indian money I got with which is GBP 841 and the exchange rate came up to Indian Rupees 80 to 1 GBP?? If this is how much PP is going to charge us, how can we make any money? and compete in the market with prices that are hiked up by SO much because of PP taking all the money! Gross amount £ 880.00 GBP PayPal fee -£ 38.92 GBP Net amount £ 841.08 GBP Would like to high light this point and also put it in forums where people ask for the best way to get paid, this cerrtainly isn't one, I feel like I'm working just to make money for PP 😞 and I've just sold something to someone at cost price, didn't make any money on it!
