I am wondering if I am about to have a similar problem! Someone in Israel bought some curtains from me on Ebay and asked me to post them to Israel. I am worried on three accounts:- I don't normally post abroad and this was a special request from her. At some stage after purchase she mentioned something about being from Ukraine but that message disappeared. I emailed her and asked her to confirm the delivery address and she gave me an Israel address. She paid me into Paypal but lumped all the payment together, which amounted to £145 - this included postage so the postage is not shown separately but the price of the goods appears as £155. I have heard of scams where buyers purchase items and then say they have not received them and that Paypal has been rather helpful to the perpetrators and just refunds their money. If this happens, I will be £155 out of pocket, but the money has been sent via Paypal and she sounds genuine (asking me to put the customs label at a certain amount because of tax and also sending me a photograph of her wallpaper which is a close match to the curtains I have sold to her. I just have an uneasy feeling because it seems that tracking is iffy in Israel and Paypal seems to favour the 'buyer' refunding the money without really checking with the seller about the facts. Has anyone had any similar experience. At the moment I am sitting on the curtains and the money but I am not comfortable doing this either - at the moment I have 100% positive feedback on Ebay. The buyer has 149 positive feedbacks mainly for buying small electrical items as far as I can see. Thanks!
