Going live and receiving 4011 error

I've been testing with a previous test PayPal account which was setup a few years ago for a website and everything works as expected in test mode. This uses HTML to populate the form and send to PayPal for payment. I change the settings from test to live on a completely new separate PayPal live account and attempt to make a live transaction. I reach the PayPal gateway, enter my LIVE email address which prompts me for a secondary authorisation (this is fine as I have set 2 factor authentication for my PayPal account)..... I authorise this and then receive a friendly error that the transaction could not go at further and to return back to the merchants website. Looking at the logs it shows a 4011 error but I'm not sure what settings I need to check out or any other changes to make? Could anyone narrow this down or give some ideas to try out? ... View more

Which fields to check from Paypal response

I am receiving a response from PP for a payment, which i then determine what happens with that transaction. I understand if it has SUCCESS then the payment is fine but what fields from the response could i check against values from my database to ensure the transaction hasnt been tampered with? ... Ok i did this but i have a strange issue. It seems to return me to a URL that i cant find anywhere on my account?   So i disabled Auto return and return URL to test but after a payment it takes me back to a URL that i must have set in the past somewhere.   Now i did have this working a few months ago and if i remember correctly I needed the return URL to contain parameters so i specified the value rm=2 but no matter what i do it takes me back to a test URL i must have set in the past.   Not sure if someone (you are listed as a moderator) can take a look at my account as i have tried switching all sorts off/on?   Oh i dont think its something ive set at my end as i replaced all values with unique values so i could see where i was going wrong but nothing is sent to PP to redirect back to this test URL. ... I have the below being sent to PayPal's gateway for a customer to make a payment. TLS 1.2 Upgrade

Im using a custom form to send to Paypal and take payment. At present I am using https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr for sandbox and https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr for live payments.   The PayPal site is reached, users can make a payment and are returned back to my site.   If i visit https://tlstest.paypal.com/ in a browser from the server where my site is hosted i see PayPal_Connection_OK so this means to me the server is setup but i dont know if any further coding/configuration is required when the form leaves my site to go to paypal to take payments?   Do i need to make any further changes to ensure all is setup for TLS 1.2? ... Pretty bad and lame from paypal that they dont even bother updating the status or providing more info about the sudden 500 status errors. I would have to consider using PP in future as this type of service is just not acceptable. ... View more

I too am having this issue since 22nd June!!
