There's an under $20 charge showing up as "PAYPAL INSTANT TRANSFER - INST XFER" and have queried my financial institution but they have no further info. In order to dispute the charge, they're saying they'll charge me $30.00 because they'd have to stop payment, and this is a CU. I'm not set up for instant transfers. I do use Paypal (attached to this bank account) for online shopping, but all transactions are showing in my statement and accounted for. No one else has access to the card. Since there are no further details (not even transaction ID or any garbage numbers and/or letters), could this be fraud? Or a mis-keyed digit in someone's system somewhere? It just seems to me that this would never be traceable without identifying info and nothing showing on my PalPal account. What safeguards are built into this system, and do you have any recommendations as to what actions I might be able to take. It's ludicrous for me to just sit and watch $20 float away because it's cheaper than spending $30 for nothing. Thanks for any insights, thoughts or help.
