Problem with resolution center

PayPal took 9 months to return $2500 fraudulently taken from my bank! Now I've been waiting 3 weeks on a "fraudulent" item claim! PayPal seems to resolve problems to their benefit, not yours! I would supply the fraudulent order, but now, they don't allow "attachments." ... View more

One week ago my account was finally reopened after a three month closure due to an "unauthorized" withdrawal. Today, another attempt was made for $699! Now it is obvious that PayPal does not have the ability to prevent attacks on your account! Please, please close your PayPal account while their protection shield is down!!! I would not access any credit account to Paypal! Understand that once you do this you loose the rights that are attached to your card! In my case PayPal has permanently limited my PayPal account as a result of it being hacked! They, and they alone, charged that it was my fault after initially refunding the $2500 to my balance. Then they "froze" my access to this refund for 180 days! Under your bankcard agreement, your money is covered for "fraud!" But in PayPal's case it's up to them! So by turning your account over to Paypal, you loose this protection. Don't do it! Because of this many accounts are now switching to Google Pay, which is basically a direct extension of your credit card! ... View more

Welcome to the club! When PayPal makes a mistake, or wants to blame you for anything, this is how they deal with it! Their is no "resolution" process! I did two things. 1.) File a complaint with your local Better Business Bureau (BBB). They are doing an excellent job with my case right now. 2.) Contact your local financial institution if this has affected the use of your credit card. They conduct an investigation just like your BBB. If your case is resolved, immediately close your PayPal account. They are "poison!"   ... View more

P.S. - I have filed a "fraud" report to my bank in regards to the above issue! I will also submit a complaint to the BBB seeking the return of my balance! PayPal is simply trying to "wiggle" out of it's responsibility in this matter. They agreed to return my money before my banks "temporary" deposit. And they should honor that promise! So here's the truth, okay! PayPal, who had been holding my $2500 balance "hostage" for 180 days, has now "violated" their own policy! They have determined that this policy does not include "them," and accessed my balance! They claim my bank will cover it, but my bank "never" said that! Many of you are missing the point! PayPal's problem is not it's "misinformation" clause. It's the 180 day account limitation! Under this policy, PayPal can, under it's discretion, decide that you have done something wrong! And once they have, they "close" your entire account for the specified 180 days! You cannot purchase anything, you cannot access "your" balance and you cannot challenge their decision! Do you really want to "invest" your money in such a system? Think about it! ... View more

No bank refuses to refund your money for an "unauthorized '" withdrawal! No matter the events that took place! If they didn't ask you to verify the amount it's on them! Master Charge and Visa Debit both request you're personal approval if the amount exceeds your average charge, or their is increased activity. PayPal is the only financial institution that personally decides whether to return your money! Which is why you should "close" your account before they "snare" your money!   ... View more

You are finding out what the rest of the "Community" is experiencing. PayPal is "dodging" the numerous claims that are now "flooding" in! They just "cancelled" my latest submission claiming they couldn't find the message I was responding to! PayPal has two deceptive practices for dealing with your claims. 1.) They make the issue so complicated that you give up. 2.) They put your account on a 180 day hold so that there's nothing you can do to resolve the issue! I've reported their "fraud" to my bank and they're even avoiding them by claiming "privacy" issues. Meanwhile, I'm left hanging with a $2500 hole in my bank account!
